A few weeks ago I finally had the opportunity to go to Florida and visit my much missed family and friends. Surprisingly enough it was a weekend that would be unforgettable considering that a long time friend of mine who moved to Philly was going to be in town. If that wasn’t enough, that same weekend the music festival: Big Guava was also going to be in town.
Two best friends, a music festival, and my old stomping grounds was a recipe for a great time! It was a seriously amazing reunion between us girls considering the fact that I’ve known these ladies since the age of 15! That’s almost more than 10 years of friendship and counting. They say that:
It takes a long time to grow an old friend
And that couldn’t be any more true. So Big Guava Music Festival was a big deal for us girlies. Bands from our childhood also played this big event so we were even more stoked! Some of these I’m sure you’ve heard of, bands like: The Strokes, The Pixies, Cold War Kids, Banks, TV On the Radio, and many more.
We started our adventure by tail gaiting in the parking and it seemed as time never stopped. After having fun in the parking lot we all went inside and stopped by the food trucks to begin a long day of standing, singing, drinking, and playing. The best part about this music festival had to be the carnival rides that were there. We must have rode every single ride we could of and needless to say I go a little dizzy on some of the rides and yet my favorite one was the simplest and classic one of them all-the ferris wheel.
