Moda Print’s Alena G. and I teamed up once again to create a blogger’s garden summer fashion editorial that encompasses the joy that summer brings all of us. Summer calls for bright color, flowy outfits, and fun picnics in the park.
When we discussed our original idea on photographing a outfit in the park I knew I wanted to include some of my favorite props into the mix. With a background in creative directing and assisting friends in the prop styling business in LA I knew this would be both fun and fulfilling for me creatively.
So I packed my Anthropologie blanket (that I got at a steal on sale), my IKEA sheep rug, my infused orange water mason jar and got to work on setting the scene. The neighborhood in Denver’s Capitol Park was ideal for this shoot because of the beautiful little garden and overlapping trees provided a great amount of shade.
The Garden provided us with a picture perfect set to showcase the ultimate summer fashion outfit. Doing this summer fashion editorial gave us a way to share a story and tell it through our collaboration. My love for branding and storytelling really came through in these images. My goal is to start collaborating with florist, interior decorators, and possible some wedding stylist to create beautiful stories with my photography.
Well until the next stylized photo-shoot here’s the outcome of our hard work-which I had a blast working on. Alena has a great sense of style and really hit the nail on this Summer’s Fashion Trends.
